THE OPENING CEREMONY OF THE 162ND AUN-QA PROGRAMME ASSESSMENT OF THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE

In the morning of October 8th 2019 the Opening Ceremony of the 162nd external assessment by AUN-QA was held for the 4 programs: The English Language of UFLS – UD, Auditing, International Business and Marketing of University of Economics – UD.

The ceremony was marked with the presence of Dr. Wyona C. Patalinghug – Vice President of  AUN-QA, Prof.Dr. Fauza Ab. Ghaffar – leader of AUN-QA, Assoc.Prof. Lê Quang Sơn – Vice Director of University of Danang, Assoc.Prof. Trần Hữu Phúc – Rector of University of Foreign Language Studies-UD, Assoc.Prof. Nguyễn Mạnh Toàn – Rector of University of Economics – UD, delegates of leaders of Educational Institutions, faculties, departments lecturers, students and the stake holders of the two universities  to be assessed.

Assoc.Prof. Nguyen Van Long delivered speech
Assoc.Prof. Nguyen Van Long’s speech began with an overview of the university stressing the strategic significance of quality assurance along with the salient activities in training, research, international coorperation and academic activities of lecturers, students involved in the university mission. In the strategic development of the university with the stress on the quality assurance, the training programs have been updated with the application of the advanced training methods, upgrading the quality of the staff, facilities with the convenience of learning environment for the enhancement of learners ability as required by the labor market domestic and international. This relects the determination of the university and faculties in the implementation of quality assurance and assessment ….
Dr. Wyona C. Patalinghug – Vice President of AUN-QA delivered speech
On behalf of the assessing board of AUN-QA, Dr. Wyona C. Patalinghug – Vice President of AUN-QA delivered a speech recognizing the efforts of the University of Danang and the member universities in the mission of enhancing the tertiary educational quality in the regional and international integration. Dr. Wyona C. Patalinghug congratulated the entire staff, students of University of Foreign Language Studies in the accomplishment of AUN-QA for the International Studies Program, and asserted the accmpaniment with the University of Danang and member univesity in process of implementing the educational mission.

As scheduled, the Assessor Board of AUN-QA follows the agenda from October 8th to October 10th with a series of academic tasks such as reviewing the documents, self-assessment reports with evidence, interviews of stake-holders of assessed programmes including leaders of scientific council, faculty staff, students, support staff, alumni and employers, site visits with assessment of faclilities, service, supportive academic affairs, research and students activities.
Prior to the Opening Ceremony, the assessor Board paid a visit to the campus with a survey on the teaching and learning facilities including the lecture halls and multimedia venues …
