CLOSING CEREMONY OF 162ND AUN-QA PROGRAM ASSESSMENT

On the morning of October 10th, quality assessment experts from Asian University network (AUN) ended the 162th AUN-QA program assessment of four undergraduate programs of the University of Danang including Bachelor in English language (the University of Foreign Languages Studies), Bachelor in Auditing, Bachelor in International Business and Bachelor in Marketing (the University of Economics)
At the closing ceremony, the expert presented preliminary findings about strengths, potentials as well as areas for improvement of the programs under assessment.

Dr Wyona C. Patalinghug. Vice Chairperson of AUN-QA Committee recommended that leaders of faculties and universities should promote their cooperation with other institutions in the world, particularly in the South east Asia to facilitate the improvement of their programs as well as  the exchange of lecturers and students with other regional universities. On behalf the expert group, Dr Wyona C. Patalinghug thanked university leaders, staff, students, alumni, and employers for their cooperation and contribution to the successful assessment.

Speaking at the closing ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Dr Tran Huu Phuc, Rector of the University of Foreign Languages acknowledged the sense of enthusiasm, seriousness and professionalism among AUN experts. He said that their comments and feedback on program strengths and areas for improvement would motivate the staff of the two universities to improve their teaching quality and curricula to meet the social demand in the international integration. Participants in the 162th AUN-QA program assessment sessions included 24 faculty leaders, program chairs and SARS members, 80 alumni, 63 businesses, 80 lecturers, 69 support staff, and 80 students. The total number of people involved reached 372 including 37 organizing committee members and 4 professional interpreters, contributing to the success of the event. Rector Tran Huu Phuc also sent his thanks to staff, students, alumni, businesses and media for their support and interest in the assessment activities. Leaders of the two universities expect to have more programs that meet AUN-QA standards.
