Ngày 23/9, trong lễ khai giảng năm học mới 2015 – 2016 của ĐH Ngoại ngữ (thuộc ĐH Đà Nẵng), nhà trường đã khen thưởng 18 tân sinh viên đạt điểm đầu vào cao nhất ở các ngành đào tạo của trường trong mùa tuyển sinh 2015.
Sinh viên đạt điểm thi cao nhất khóa tuyển sinh vào ĐH Ngoại ngữ năm nay là Ngô Thị Thu Minh, tân sinh viên ngành Tiếng Anh Thương mại.
Dịp này, nhà trường cũng tổ chức khen thưởng các sinh viên tiêu biểu và các lớp trưởng có thành tích học tập xuất sắc trong năm học 2014 – 2015 vừa qua; trao 15 suất học bổng do các doanh nghiệp tài trợ (mỗi suất 1 triệu đồng) đến các sinh viên có hoàn cảnh khó khăn…
Năm học 2015 – 2016, ĐH Ngoại ngữ Đà Nẵng vừa đón thêm hơn 1.500 tân sinh viên trúng tuyển vào 19 chuyên ngành thuộc 7 khoa đào tạo của nhà trường, nâng tổng số sinh viên hệ chính quy toàn trường lên gần 7.000 sinh viên.
TS. Trần Hữu Phúc – Hiệu trưởng nhà trường cho biết, năm nay, điểm chuẩn các ngành đa phần cao hơn những năm trước, số lượng sinh viên trúng tuyển đạt chỉ tiêu đề ra. Năm học này, nhà trường tiếp tục được Bộ GD-ĐT, Ban Quản lý Đề án Ngoại ngữ Quốc gia 2020 giao thêm nhiều nhiệm vụ bên cạnh công tác khảo sát năng lực ngoại ngữ, bồi dưỡng giáo viên tiếng Anh cho các địa phương trong khu vực Miền Trung – Tây Nguyên và cả nước.
Phát biểu tại lễ khai giảng của ĐH Ngoại ngữ, PGS.TS Đoàn Quang Vinh – Phó Giám đốc ĐH Đà Nẵng đề nghị nhà trường trong thời gian tới cần phối hợp chặt chẽ hơn nữa với các cơ sở giáo dục đại học thành viên, tổ chức đào tạo và nâng cao trình độ tiếng Anh của sinh viên không chuyên lên ngang tầm khu vực; chú trọng hơn nữa công tác nghiên cứu khoa học, khảo thí, đảm bảo chất lượng đào tạo.
